I am currently reading both Shogun and Musashi, so I am definitely in a samurai mood. This was a lot of fun. A strong short story works as a self-contained work, but it also makes you yearn to know what lead up to this point. This feels like a climatic moment and it hooked me, made me want to know more about this struggle between the samurai and the demon. Well done!
